Australian Seabird and Turtle Rescue actively engage  in research projects that aim to increase our knowledge of rescue and rehabilitation practices along with impacts to the animals we have in care. We do this through strong collaborations with scientists across government and universities.

The impact of  anthropogenic  pollution on sea turtles in NSW, a collaboration with Southern Cross University and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. In progress -stay tuned for results soon.

Quantifying plastic pollution on the physiology of seabirds. 

A collaborative project with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service that is in progress to quantify 1): the macro-plastic ingested by seabirds and 2): the effect of of micro-plastic phthalates on the physiology of seabirds. Stay tuned for outputs
